Natural Gas

Effective January 1, 2010 the natural gas marketing group (previously Enbridge Gas Services) has merged its activities into Tidal Energy Marketing in Canada and the U.S. Tidal Energy Marketing Inc. and  Tidal Energy Marketing (U.S.) LLC are wholly owned subsidiaries of Enbridge Inc. All currently effective guarantee obligations of Enbridge Inc. will remain unaffected by the amalgamations and such guarantee obligations will continue to be legally valid and binding against Enbridge Inc. In due course our Credit Department will be contacting our counterparties to discuss consolidation of guarantees where it is appropriate.

Tidal’s natural gas marketing group is focused on delivering energy-related products and services tailored to meet the specific needs of customers along its footprint in western Canada, eastern Canada and the United States Midwest and Northeast. The products and services currently offered include; Gas Supply, Load Balancing, Storage, Peaking and Redelivery Services in Canada and across the U.S. Midwest and Northeast.

Tidal manages capacity commitments on the Alliance, ANR, NOVA, Northern Border, and GLGT, Spectra, TCPL, Union and Vector natural gas pipelines. In addition they also manage supply, storage and transport for 3rd parties. The natural gas marketing group has been in existence since 2001.
